What's Covered

The covers usually available on a Mosque Insurance Religious Buildings policy are wide and varied, offering you the flexibility to choose what you need without being burdened by paying more for unnecessary extras.

Buildings

This cover insures the cost of rebuilding or repairing the Mosque in the event of a calamity.

The definition for buildings can vary and may or may not include Fixture and Fittings, so it’s best to double check your policy as you may be requested to note the amount insured for these separately.

Contents

Contents cover insures any loss or damage of contents which the Mosque owns or is responsible for.

Public Liability

Indemnifies the Mosque against claims made by members of the public (including worshippers), typically covering bodily injury, illness and material damage.

Cover may be extended to protect you if you give free, informal counselling to an individual member of your religious community (Pastoral Care) as well as Abuse and Molestation claims.

Employers’ Liability

A legal requirement if you have any employees, it indemnifies the Mosque from claims made by current or previous employees or volunteers in the event of bodily injury or illness.

Trustees Liability

Protects the Trustees against an actual or alleged wrongful act committed by them in their capacity as a Trustee, which even on a voluntary basis; they would be accountable for.

Money

Cover against loss or damage of the Mosques money whilst on premises or when in transit.

Terrorism

Protection for the Mosque against loss or damage caused by terrorist activities.

Fidelity

Protect the Mosques assets from loss by fraud or dishonesty of any trustee, partner, director or employee.

Legal Protection

Legal defence for employment disputes against current or previous employees of the Mosque.

Frozen Foods

Insuring against damage to any foodstuffs, which may be caused by a breakdown of refrigerating equipment.

Electrical Equipment / Computer Breakdown

Equipment is insured against breakdown whilst at the Mosque.

Trade All Risks

Extends cover to the Mosques assets outside of the insured premises and usually anywhere in the UK.
